1) When and where will The Pearls be occuring?
The Pearls, a private affair, is to be celebrated in Studio City, California on June 4, 2011

2) How were the women selected?
The Pearls established a Search and Selection Committee (SSC) in which the members were held responsible to seek Deaf women that are potential Pearls. As soon the information was gathered, the members submitted a list of nominees to The M Projects for further review. Once the list of nominees were approved, the members of the SSC voted. The women that got the majority of the votes in each category became an award recipient of The Pearls.

3) Why is The Pearls Affair on June 4th a private event?
The Pearls is modeled after Oprah’s The Legends, which had a private event for its women as part of the weekend festivities. In addition, this is a rare opportunity for these Pearls to have time to get to know one another in a intimate setting.

4) Will there be a public event after The Pearls Affair?
Yes. On June 5th of 2011, there will be the Meet and Greet The Pearls event from 2pm to 5pm.
